Happy Tuesday friends!! Today I’m sharing a project for Honey Bee Stamps that features a fun Christmas tree made from banner dies. I’ve has this idea floating around in my head for a while and finally made it into a reality!
I began by cutting all of the banners in the Banner Sentiments Honey Cuts set from green cardstock, and the largest banner only from brown cardstock. I set those aside and began work on my background. I ink blended Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch & Dusty Concord Distress Oxide inks onto a panel of Bristol paper. I cut the ink-blended panel out with the Scallop A2 Card Frames Honey Cuts and also cut an additional panel of white cardstock. I used the Hill Border Honey Cuts to cut a snow drift for the base of my tree and spread some Nuvo Glitter Accents in Fresh Snowfall over it. Next, the background panel was splattered with water, Perfect Pearls and white paint. I also splattered white paint onto the green banners. Once all of the components were dry, I adhered the snow drift and banners as shown. I cut a star from silver glitter paper using a star die from the Stacking Stars Honey Cuts and popped it onto the top of the tree with foam adhesive. “Merry”, from the Let It Snow stamp set, was stamped onto one the banners with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink. I stamped the small bird from the same set and cut it out using the Let It Snow Honey Cuts. The Christmas die-cut, is also from the Let It Snow Honey Cuts, and was cut from silver glitter paper and red cardstock. Both the bird and the Christmas die-cut were adhered with foam tape. Xmas Red Stickles were dotted onto the tree. The entire panel was adhered to a red A2 size panel.
That’s it for me today!! I hope I’ve inspired you to look at your dies in a different way!!
See you soon!!
