Good morning everyone!! I am excited to be one of the stops on The Ton’s Washi Tape Release Blog Hop!! The Ton is celebrating their first washi tape release with two new washi tapes that are created from Effie’s stunning watercolor pieces! There are some free gifts with purchase promotions ongoing. Head over to The Ton Stamps’ blog for more details.
You should have arrived here from Kymona Tracey’s Blog. There is also a complete list at the end of this post, as well as giveaway information. So make sure you read til the end.
Let’s get to my projects!
My first card has to be one of the fastest that I have ever created!! These washi tapes make it so simple, but look like you took the time to do the watercoloring yourself!! The metallic accents are icing on the cake!!
I started by adhering the Wildflowers Washi Tape to a panel of white cardstock and trimmed it on each side. The washi tape panel was matted with purple and pink cardstock and then adhered to a top-folding A2 cardbase. The sentiment was cut using the Love and Hugs Word Plate Dies from the same purple cardstock. Some Crushed Grape Nuvo Drops accent the sentiment.
My second card took a little more time, as I stamped the main panel to match the Pink Peonies Washi Tape. I love how this one turned out!!
I really wanted to die-cut the sentiment from the washi tape and it cut beautifully!! I began by adhering the Pink Peonies Washi Tape to an A2 size panel of white cardstock. I used the Bold Amazing Greeting Word Plate Dies to cut “amazing” from the center of the panel. I stamped the Painted Peonies layering stamp set using Rose Quartz, Vanilla Frosted Cupcake, Hollywood Star (which I wiped clean and then stamped again with Rose Quartz for a softer pink), Crystal Pewter and Smoky Quartz Couture Inks onto white cardstock. I tried to match the colors in the washi as closely as possible. I splattered some diluted Rose Quartz Ink onto the panel and trimmed it slightly, once it was dry. I matted it with some charcoal gray glitter paper and cut “amazing” from the same paper, as well as “you’re” from the Sweetheart Word Plate Dies. A few sequins from the Pink Bokeh and Pink Diamond Couture Mixes finish off the card!
Aren’t these tapes amazing? So many possibilities!!
OK, the next stop on the hop is the sweet Janette Kausen.
