Hello, friends and happy new week!! Welcome to The Ton’s July Release!! There are nine new dies releasing this month and they are all amazing!!
I have two cards to share with you today!! They both use dies only, no stamps. They really came together quickly and would be great to mass produce. I will show you two ways to combine coverplate dies with layering dies! I LOVE how these dies coordinate so you can use them together or separately! Let’s get started!!!
My first card combines the Trio Anemone Cluster Layering Dies and the Gathered Anemone Coverplate Dies. I die-cut the solid layer and the second layer of the Trio Anemone Cluster Layering Dies with white and periwinkle cardstocks. Then I die-cut the Gathered Anemone Coverplate Die from black cardstock and adhered the two layers cut from the layering dies behind the coverplate die.
For the background, I ink-blended Cali Blue and Cobalt Breeze inks onto a panel of light blue cardstock, leaving the center lighter and getting darker at the edges. I splattered it with some white gouache and set it aside to dry.
The “hello” sentiment was cut from white and periwinkle cardstocks using the Many Sentiments Coverplate Dies. I adhered the anemone die-cut to the background panel and popped the sentiment up with foam adhesive. A few Dew Drop Clear Enamel Dots add a little shine.
For my second card, we will adhere the layering dies to the front of the coveplate die.
I die-cut all of the layers of the Lovely Dahlia Layering Dies from yellow, pink, white and green cardstocks and adhered them together. The Lone Dahlia Coverplate Die was cut from white cardstock and adhered to a white cardbase.
This sentiment was also die-cut using the Many Sentiments Coverplate Dies. It was cut from yellow and pink cardstock. The layered dahlia and the sentiment were adhered with foam adhesive for dimension. A few Sittin’ Pretty sequins were the perfect finishing touch!
Come and hop along with the other design team members for more inspiration!!
Thanks so much for joining me today!! Be sure to check out The Ton’s Blog to see the rest of the fabulous release!!
Absolutely gorgeous! So beautiful! You rock!
Love this fab pink and yellow combo, it’s so good. Thanks for sharing these two cards.
Your cards are absolutely gorgeous. This is such a beautiful release.
I really really really wanted to comment on here on the same day but alas, better late than never. All the cards you make using The Ton products are my favourite. Effie’s creativity and your talent to showcase her products is an awesome formula. She chose a great person for her team. If it wasn’t for this bloody pandemic, I would have bought this already but no commercial flights means not being able to order stuff but once I can, will definitely purchase those dies.
