Hello, friends!! Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! The weather was so nice here! Definitely not normal temperatures for the Midwest in December, but it’s hard to get in the Christmas spirit when it’s so warm!!
Hopefully my projects today will get you in the spirt! I’m so honored to be a guest for the Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas Series!! We are right in the middle with day 6!! The Christmas carol that I was assigned was Jingle Bells!! Here are the tags I created!!
I began by die-cutting my tags from white cardstock with the Farmhouse Tags Die and the Mugs & Kisses Honey Cuts. For the mug, I scored and folded the white cardstock, then die-cut it with the scored edge hanging out of the die slightly. I die-cut both tags with the Pierced Fancy Flakes Cover Plate Die to create some texture.
For the pinecone tag, I die-cut the pinecone, sprigs and bow in the Lovely Layers: Pinecone from brown, green and red cardstocks. I brushed some Snow Tex onto the pinecone and bough die-cuts, then sprinkled them with clear glitter. Once dry, I adhered the pieces of the pinecone together as shown. “To” and “From” were stamped onto the bottom of the tag with red ink using the Tag It – Christmas Stamp Set. I die-cut the hole enforcer from red cardstock and adhered it before tying some jute and red & white twine through the holes. I adhered the pinecone to the upper left corner and adhered the bells to the bow.
There’s nothing better than a mug of hot cocoa after “dashing through the snow”, is there?
To decorate the mug, I simply die-cut the heart, candy cane, cocoa and whipped cream using the Mugs & Kisses Honey Cuts from red, white, brown and white glitter cardstocks, respectively and adhered the die-cuts to the mug.
“To” and “From”, from the Tag It – Christmas Stamp Set were stamped inside the tag with red ink. I tied a loop of red & white twine and a bow onto the handle of the mug and this one was finished!!
I had so much fun creating these tags!! Thank you to the Ellen Hutson team for asking me to participate in this series!!
