Hello, crafty friends!! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!! Hopefully you’re getting some crafty time in!!
I have a sweet card to share today for Picket Fence Studios that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day!!
I began by stamping the darling elephants and heart from The Best Hugs Ever Stamp Set with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copics, added highlights with a white gel pen and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. The sentiment, also from The Best Hugs Ever, was stamped in red ink and cut out with its Coordinating Die. I stamped two hearts from the More of the Best Hugs Ever, colored them with Copics and die-cut them with their Coordinating Die. “Hugs” is also from the More of the Best Hugs Ever Die Set. It was die-cut from red cardstock once and heavyweight white cardstock three times. They were stacked and adhered together with the red layer on top. I set all of that aside to work on the background.
The A2 Pierced Blanket Cover Plate Die was cut from white cardstock and adhered to a white A2 card base. Next, I stamped the Flow of Hearts Stamp onto white cardstock with red ink, then used the third largest die in the Matching Misshapen Stitched Circle Die Set to cut it out. The second largest die from the same set was cut from red cardstock. They were layered together and adhered to the front of the card. The second smallest Nesting Ring Die was cut from red cardstock and adhered to the center of the circles.
The “hugs” stacked die-cut was adhered under the circles with liquid glue, while the elephants, stamped sentiment and hearts were all popped up with foam tape.
Thank you for spending a bit of your Sunday with me…I sure appreciate it!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
An adorable card and a wonderful stamp/die set.
