Hello!! Welcome to the Alex Syberia Designs BetterPress Release Blog Hop & Giveaway!! Alex is releasing several stunning new press plates from florals and graphic backgrounds to sentiments!! Let’s get to my card, shall we? I combined the Elegant Blooms Press Plate & Die Set and the Abstract Background Press Plate & Coordinating Stencil with a sentiment from the Classic Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set!!

I started by pressing the stunning Elegant Blooms Press Plate onto white cardstock using Copic-friendly black ink and the BetterPress System. I colored it with Copic markers and used the die that’s included in the set to cut it out. I used a yellow gel pen to brighten up the stamen a bit.

For the background, I pressed the Abstract Background Press Plate onto a panel of white cardstock using Amalgam Ink. I used the Abstract Background Stencil to add color in shades of purple with a blending brush to match my florals. The largest rectangle die in the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set was used to die-cut the panel. I also die-cut a panel of vellum with the second largest die in the same set. The floral image and vellum panel were adhered to the background using liquid glue.

The sentiment is from the Classic Sentiments Press Plate. It was pressed onto white cardstock with black pigment ink, then cut out with the included die. It was popped up with foam tape. A sprinkling of purple iridescent gems finish off the card and add a bit of sparkle.

I absolutely LOVE the detail achieved with press plates!!
