Hello, crafty friends and welcome to the Alex Syberia Designs From Our Hearts February Release & blog hop!! This release is packed with goodies to express your love!! Let’s get to my card…

I started by stamping the darling penguin from the adorable Penguin Love Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Copic-friendly black ink. I colored him with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut him out.

For the background, I die-cut the Heart Collage Die from light pink and white cardstock. I adhered them together, slightly offset, using liquid glue. They were adhered to a panel of aqua cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set. A piece of vellum was die-cut with sceond largest scalloped rectangle in the same die set. The penguin and hearts were popped up onto the vellum with foam tape.

The sentiment is a combination of the Love & XOXO Die Set and the Penguin Love Stamp & Die Set. “XOXO” was die-cut once from red cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. They were adhered together with the bottom two layers of the white cardstock slightly offset, then adhered to the scalloped vellum panel. The vellum was adhered to the background, adding liquid glue only behind the die-cuts. The sentiment from the Penguin Love Stamp Set was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was adhered across the XOXO using a combination of foam tape and liquid adhesive. I added Stardust Stickles to the hearts to finish off the card and add a bit of sparkle.

The penguins in this set are absolutely adorable!! You can expect so see a LOT more cards created with them from me!!
