This release is absolutely AMAZING!! I couldn’t decide which products to work with first!! I eventually settled on a beach scene with the Pengu-tastick Holiday Stamps & Coordinating Dies, Sunkissed Memories Stamps & Coordinating Dies, Mermaid’s Melody Cover Die and the Sunrays Stencil Set!!

I started by stamping the darling penguins and accessories from the Pengu-tastick Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copics, added highlights with a white gel pen, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies.

Next, I blended Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold, Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of white cardstock using the Sunrays Stencils Set. I blended Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxides onto another panel of white cardstock, then splattered it with water and diluted white gouache. Once dry, the panel was die-cut, along with a piece of vellum, using the Mermaid’s Melody Cover Die. I trimmed both of them along the wavy pierced lines at the height needed for my scene. I also hand cut an island and blended Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks onto it, then splattered it with diluted Vintage Photo ink.

Both of the sentiments, from the Sunkissed Memories Stamp Set, were stamped in black ink. “You are sunshine” was stamped directly onto the sunray background panel and the supporting sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock and cut out with its Coordinating Die.

All of the layers and die-cuts were arranged and adhered with liquid glue. To finish, I added black glaze pen to the critter’s eyes and crystal glaze to the sunglasses and snorkeling mask for a bit of shine.
