Alex Syberia Designs “Thank You For Being My Friend” February Release Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hello, crafty friends and welcome to the Alex Syberia Designs “Thank You For Being My Friend” February Release Blog Hop and Giveaway!! This is the second physical product release for Alex Syberia Designs and it’s AMAZING!! You should have arrived here from Bonnie’s Blog. I’ll share the next stop, as well as a complete list and giveaway info after I share a bit about my projects. You can always start at the beginning on the Alex Syberia Designs blog.

I combined several goodies from the new release on my cards today, with the Fantasy Flowers Die Set taking center stage!!

I die-cut the flowers from yellow, orange, pink and black cardstock and the leaves from two different colors of green cardstock using the Fantasy Flowers Die Set. I added a bit of shading with dye ink to give the flowers some dimension, then adhered them together with liquid adhesive.

I blended the same dye inks onto an A2 panel of white cardstock using the Floral Lattice Stencil Set. The bouquet was arranged and adhered to a panel of vellum, which was trimmed to 3.75″ x 5″. The vellum panel was adhered to the stenciled background, adding adhesive only behind the flowers.

The sentiment was die-cut from black and white cardstock using the Love & Hugs Die Set. I cut several of each layer and adhered them together for dimension. The supporting sentiment was white heat embossed onto black cardstock using the Expressing Gratitude Stamp Set and Coordinating Die Set. This set stamps 17 thoughtful and unique sentiments all at once and cuts them into strips with one die…brilliant!! The sentiment strip was popped up with foam adhesive. To finish, I added some dots to the stamen with a yellow gel pen.

I’m telling ya…I can’t get enough of these flowers!! Here’s my second card…

I created the flowers the same way as my first card and added some stems and leaves cut from green and teal cardstock using the Classic Foliage Die Set.

For the background on this one, I die-cut the Floral Lattice Cover Die from white cardstock and adhered it to a white A2 card base.

The sentiment was die-cut several times from white and glossy black cardstock using the Large Thanks Die, stacked and adhered together, then adhered across the center of the card.

Your next stop on the hop is the super-talented Caly!!

  1. I especially love the first card. The background is just perfect with the gorgeous flowers. GREAT idea.

  2. Gorgeous cards. I love the lattice background with the vellum, makes the flowers look like they are still in the garden.

  3. OMG! These flowers are so gorgeous! And the colors are WOW! Fantasy Florals are such a fun set, and combined with the lattice background… the possibilities are endless! The sentiments look so nice with the black & white against the bright florals💜💜💜

  4. Beautiful, vibrant cards. That yellow in the stamen gives a nice pop of color. I like how the vellum softens the background to allow the flowers to shine through.

  5. Wow, great job on your cards! I love that you used the background stencil as a stencil on the first card, then stepped it up a notch and used the matching die to cut it out for the second card. Now I think (know) I need that stencil and die!

  6. I so love those cards. The Fantasy Flowers set is definitely one of my favorites from this fantastic release!
