Hello, friends and happy weekend!! I hope you have some fun plans for Mother’s Day!!
I have a couple of new baby cards to share with you today featuring the Flying High Stamp Set from Hello Bluebird and a couple of other goodies from the latest release!! My cousin and her husband will be having their first baby at the beginning of July and they won’t find out if it’s a girl or a boy until the birth, so I had to make one of each!
The images from this set are just darling…and that hot air balloon…sigh!! Let’s get to the details!!
I began by stamping the images from the Flying High Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic friendly ink, coloring them with Copics and cutting them out with the Coordinating Dies. I just LOVE how the dies cut parts of the critters to hang over the edge of the basket!
Next, I die-cut the Partly Cloudy Die from heavyweight white cardstock three times for each card. I stacked and adhered them together, then layered them over panels of pale gray cardstock before adhering them to cardbases. The hot air balloon, and critters were adhered to the card front with a combination of liquid glue and foam adhesive.
The sentiment was die-cut using the “congrats” die included in the Gallery Frame #6 Die Set. I die-cut it once from yellow cardstock and twice from white cardstock for each card. I stacked and adhered them together with the yellow die-cut on top, then adhered it across the hot air balloon. As a finishing touch, highlights were added with a white gel pen and a black glaze pen adds some shine to the eyes.
Now I’m prepared, whether they have a girl or a boy!! I really love how these turned out and hope they do too!!
Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a fantastic weekend!!
