Baby Onesie Shaker Card – Pretty Pink Posh

Hello, friends and happy Saturday!! I hope your weekend is off to a great start!! My mom needed a card for a baby shower and I thought the Onesie Shaker Die Set from Pretty Pink Posh was perfect for the occasion!!

I began by creating the shaker by die-cutting the frame six times from heavyweight white cardstock using the inside and outside dies in the Onesie Shaker Die Set. I blended Spun Sugar, Speckled Egg, Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks onto one of the layers. The outside die was cut once from white cardstock for the back and once from acetate. The white layers were stacked and adhered together and the solid layer was adhered to the back. The Sweet Dreams Shaker Beads were added to the center and the acetate and ink-blended layers were adhered to the top to finish off the shaker.

For the background, I blended the same Distress Inks onto a panel of white cardstock through the Baby Words Stencil and it was die-cut with a 4″ x 5.25″ rectangle die. The same inks were blended around the outside of an A2 panel of white cardstock and the word panel was adhered to it with liquid glue. The second largest die in the Eyelet Rectangles Die Set was cut from vellum and the onesie shaker was adhered to it. The vellum was then adhered to the background, adding adhesive only behind the onesie.

The sentiment was created by combining the Baby Script Die and the Sentiment Strips: Occasions Stamp Set. The same four inks that I used on the onesie and background were blended onto a piece of white cardstock. Baby Script Die was cut from the ink-blended piece and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. One of the white layers was adhered directly behind the ink-blended die-cut and the other two were slightly offset, then they were adhered diagonally across the onesie. The “welcome little one” sentiment, from the Sentiment Strips: Occasions Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and cut out with a die from the Sentiment Strip Die Set. It was adhered with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape and this sweet shaker card was finished.

See…I told you I was addicted to Pretty Pink Posh shaker dies and shaker beads!! I have a birthday shaker card to share next week, so stay tuned for that!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!
