Big Hugs – Alex Syberia Designs

Happy Monday, crafty friends!! I hope you all had a great day celebrating the men in your life on Father’s Day!! I’m sharing a card for Alex Syberia Designs that’s created with mostly stencils!!

I started by stenciling the Heartfelt Blooms Layering Stencils onto white cardstock using a combination of Distress Inks and dye inks. For the flower I used Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion, Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey. Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers and teal dye ink was used for the leaves. The Coordinating Die was used to cut it out and I set it aside to work on the background.

The Abstract Background Layering Stencil Set was used to create the background. I used a super light application of Salvaged Patina and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks on an A2 panel of white cardstock, using only two of the three stencils in the set. It was splattered with diluted black ink. I created a frame from dark purple cardstock using both of the rectangle dies in the Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set and adhered it to the background panel. The floral was adhered using liquid glue.

The sentiment, from the Classic Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set, was pressed onto white cardstock with black pigment ink using a BetterPress System. The included die was used to cut it out and it was popped up with foam tape. A sprinkling of pale purple pearls finishes off the card.

That does it for me today!! Thank so much for stopping by!!

Have a great week!!
