Happy Monday, friends!! I hope those of you who celebrate Easter had a wonderful day!! I’m sharing a birthday card featuring the Spring Tulips Stencils and Essential Sentiments Die Set from the latest Spring Meadow Release from Alex Syberia Designs!!

I began by stenciling the Spring Tulips Stencil Set onto white cardstock using peach, orange and green dye inks with blending brushes. I was inspired by a card that I saw created by Kailash Naidoo where she used an embossing folder on her background panel. I used the Charming Flora Cover Die, instead of an embossing folder, to die-cut the background and add texture to the stenciled panel. I blended a bit of pale blue dye ink around the perimeter of the panel, then splattered it with diluted gold watercolor paint using a paintbrush.

I die-cut thin strips of matte gold and burnt orange cardstock, then adhered it along the bottom of the panel using liquid glue. The smallest bow in the Pretty Bows Die Set was die-cut from the same two colors of cardstock and adhered to the left side of the strips of cardstock.

The sentiment, from the Essential Sentiments Die Set, was cut once each from matte gold and burnt orange cardstock and twice from heavyweight white cardstock. The white layers were adhered behind the colored die-cuts using liquid glue, then the gold layer was adhered to the top of the orange layer, slightly offset. A trio of matte gold pearls added to the center of the bows finishes off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you soon!!
