Happy hump day, friends!! I have a colorful birthday shaker card to share today for Pretty Pink Posh!! I absolutely LOVE their shaker dies!!

I began by stenciling the Birthday Words Stencil onto a panel of white cardstock using Distress Inks and blending brushes. I used Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, Mowed Lawn,Twisted Citron, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Lumberjack Plaid. It worked out to have one color per line!! By using smaller blending brushes, I didn’t even need to mask off any of the lines. I splattered the panel with diluted Black Soot Distress Ink. Oonce the ink was dry, the panel was trimmed with a rectangle die and adhered to an A2 panel of black cardstock.

To create the shaker, I die-cut the Balloon Shaker Die from black cardstock that had a double sided adhesive sheet applied to the back of it. I traced around the outside of the die-cut onto a piece of acetate and trimmed it out. The acetate was adhered to the back of the black die-cut by removing the release paper from the back of the die-cut.

I also traced the balloon die-cut onto a piece of white cardstock, trimmed it out, then blended the same Distress Inks that I used on the background onto it. I added foam tape strips to the back of the acetate, added Birthday Party Shaker Beads, then adhered the ink-blended piece onto the back. I tied some black and white twin to the neck of the balloon, then adhered it to the background.

Rainbow colors combined with black and white is ALWAYS a win in my book!!
That’s it for me!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great Wednesday!!
