Hello friends!! I have a pretty birthday card for Honey Bee Stamps to share today!! I just love the Spring Peony and Fluttering By sets and wanted to combine them on a card!
I began by white heat embossing the images from Spring Peony and Fluttering By onto Bristol paper and watercoloring them with Zig Clean Color Markers. The flowers were fussy cut (however, the Coordinating Dies are available), and the butterfly was cut out with the Coordinating Honey Cuts. For the background, I “ink-smooshed” a bunch of Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of watercolor paper. The colors that I used are Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon, Broken China and Tumbled Glass. After the panel was dry, it was die-cut it using the largest of the Scallop A2 Card Frames Honey Cuts. I also splattered the panel with diluted white gouache. I popped up the tips of the leaves, peony and butterfly with foam adhesive. For the sentiment, I stamped “happy birthday” from the Fluttering By stamp set onto Bristol with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink and clear heat embossed it. After fussy cutting it out, it was also popped up with foam tape. A few Crystal Sticky Back Rhinestones add a bit of sparkle!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I’ll see you soon!!!
Have a wonderful week!!
