Hello friends and happy Thursday!! I hope you’re having a wonderful week!!
I have always loved the paintings and drawings of dandelions that appear to be blowing in the wind. When I saw the Maya Meraki Flora Para-Dies, they reminded me of those art pieces and I knew that I wanted to try to replicate that!
I began by die-cutting the Maya Meraki Flora Para-Dies a couple of times from white cardstock. I trimmed off the ends of one of the flowers, then set them aside to work on my background.
For the background, I blended Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Blueprint Sketch onto a panel of Bristol cardstock. I splattered some diluted white gouache on with a paintbrush.
Once it was dry, I trimmed the panel slightly, then adhered the flowers and “blowing bits” into the panel and trimmed off the excess. I adhered the panel to a white top-folding card base. The sentiment, from the Elegance Stamp Set, was stamped with Blueprint Sketch and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Inks, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was popped up with foam tape and I was finished!!
I really love how this turned out!!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful day!!
