Hello, friends!! Happy Saturday!! The new Classic Road Collection designed by Mindy Eggen for Spellbinders dropped today!! This collection is perfect for those difficult to create masculine cards!! My dad always talks about the cars he owned when he was younger, so I created a Father’s Day card for him using the Classic Car and Classic Sentiments Etched Die Sets, but these goodies can be used for many different occasions!!

I began by die-cutting the elements for my car from Spellbinders cardstock. I cut the body from Poppy; the top of the car, headlights and blinkers from white; the interior and tires from Anchor; the undercarriage, tires and steering wheel from Raven; and the wheels, grill, bumpers, headlight and blinker housings, door handle and rearview mirror from frosted silver cardstock using the Classic Car Die Set. I colored the blinkers with an orange Copic markers and all the pieces were adhered together using liquid glue. This is so easy to assemble!!

For the background, I blended Mowed Lawn and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink onto the center of a panel of white cardstock, blending it out to white around the outside. I die-cut the panel with the largest die in the A2 Matting Basics A Die Set and adhered it to an A2 panel of Poppy cardstock. The car was adhered with foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Classic Sentiments Die Set. This is the perfect font for masculine cards and includes dies to mix and match for so many different occasions!! The top layer was cut from Poppy cardstock and the shadow layer from white cardstock. It was popped up above the car with foam tape and this card was finished.
