Hello, friends and happy Friday!! There’s a new Essentials by Ellen Release available over at Ellen Hutson today!! I have a couple of projects using the new goodies to share with you!! So much goodness!!

My first project is this sweet berry basket!! How cute is this?!?

I started by die-cutting the Berry Basket Die four times from kraft cardstock. I added a little shading with Copic markers, Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink and a blending brush. I folded the bottoms and tabs of the die-cuts along the score lines and adhered them all together with strong liquid glue. I trimmed a couple of strips of kraft cardstock to about .5″ x 4.75″ and folded about .5″ from each end, creating tabs. The tabs were adhered to each side of the basket creating cross pieces to add die-cuts to.
I stamped the strawberries, leaves, flowers and bees from the Strawberry Fields Stamp Set onto white cardstock and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. I trimmed some thin strips of thick acetate and adhered some of the stamped images to them. I adhered the acetate strips to the cross pieces that I added, as well as die-cuts to the front and back panels of the basket.

The sentiment, also from the Strawberry Fields Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock. I trimmed it into a square and matted it with red cardstock. I added dashed lines with a white gel pen and adhered it to the front of the basket, along with one of the bee die-cuts.

There are so many options with these sweet sets!! I filled mine with some green shredded paper and strawberry candies!! You could even tuck a gift card inside!! I LOVE how the bees appear to be floating above the strawberries!!
I have a card to share for my second project…

I fell in love with these flowers in the Painted Florals Stamp Set!! I stamped the flowers with Honeysuckle, Marmalade and Buttercup inks. The leaves and stems were stamped with Sprout and Clover inks, then I cut all of them out using the Coordinating Dies. I stamped “hiya”, from the Casual Greetings Stamp Set, repeatedly onto a panel of white cardstock with Sea Glass and Aqua Sky inks. The panel was die-cut with an embossed rectangle die, along with a panel of Aqua Sky Cardstock.

Next, I cut strips from Marmalade and Honeysuckle cardstock using the Nice of You Die and adhered them diagonally to a white top-folding card base. I adhered the stamped “hiya” panel to the card base with liquid adhesive. The florals were arranged and popped up with foam adhesive.

The Casual Taglines Stamp Set was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Nice of You Die. I LOVE that I have all of these sentiment strips cut out and ready to add to more cards!! I popped the “how you doin’?” strip across the stems of the flowers with foam tape and I was finished!

That’s it for me today!! Be sure to check out the rest of the Essentials by Ellen Release!! It’s FABULOUS!!! There’s even a bundle to purchase the entire release HERE!! You also a free Lucky Stamp Set with a $75 minimum purchase (while supplies last)!!
