Hello, crafty friends!! I have a Christmas card to share with you today for Alex Syberia Designs!! I combined the images from several different critter stamp sets to create this whimsical holiday card!!
I began by stamping the hogs, magic wand and the smaller gift stack from the Hog Happy Day Stamp Set; the sleigh, taller gift stack, Santa hat and bird from the Falala Friends Stamp Set; and the tree, ornaments and snowflakes from the Merry Christmice Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them all with Copic markers and added highlights and details with a white gel pen. I used the Hog Happy Day, Falala Friends and Merry Christmice Coordinating Dies to cut them all out.
For the background, I die-cut the Postage Stamps Cover Die from a panel of smooth white cardstock. I laid the Postage Stamps Stencil over the background and blended Speckled Egg Distress Ink onto the background using a blending brush. I splattered it with diluted Speckled Egg Distress Ink and bleed-proof white ink, then removed the stencil. The largest rectangle die in the Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set was cut from red cardstock and the postage die was adhered using liquid glue. All of the critter and accessory die-cuts were arranged and adhered with liquid glue.
The die-cut sentiment was created using the Falala Die Set. The top layer was cut from red cardstock one time and heavyweight white cardstock twice. The shadow layer was cut three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The layers were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue. The sub-sentiment, from the Merry Christmice Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with red ink, cut out with the Coordinating Die, then popped up with foam tape. I added a tiny bit of Stardust Stickles to the centers of the snowflakes to finish off the card and add some sparkle. Every Christmas card needs a little sparkle, am I right?!?
That does it for me today!! I’ll see you soon!! Have a great week!!
