Fall Leaves Thanksgiving Card – Scrappy Tails Crafts

Happy Sunday, crafty friends!! I hope you’re having a great weekend!!

I have an autumn Thanksgiving card to share for Scrappy Tails Crafts!!

I started by die-cutting all of the leaves and veins in the Fall Assorted Leaves Die Set from watercolor paper. I added pigment using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and lots of water, then set them aside to dry.

For the background, I used the same watercolor markers in light colors to create a wash on a panel of watercolor paper. Once it was dry, I splattered some diluted ink onto the panel, as well as the leaves. I added some Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink onto the edges of the panel. The veins were adhered to the leaves with liquid glue. The leaves were arranged and adhered to the watercolored panel and the excess was trimmed from the edges. I tied some kraft and white twine into a bow along the left side, then adhered it to a panel of kraft cardstock, which was also edged with Vintage Photo ink.

The sentiment is from the Wild Sunflowers Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto kraft cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I blended a bit of ink onto the edges, then popped it up with foam tape.

Scrappy Tails turned 2 years old this month, so through today there is a 20% sale off of all products in the shop!! Use the code Celebrate2 at checkout to receive the discount!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I’ll see you soon!!
