Hello, friends!! I hope you’re having a fantastic week!! I have a shaker card for Honey Bee Stamps to share with you today!!
Shaker cards are great for any occasion, but I particularly love them for Christmas!! The Snow Globe A2 Shaker Honey Cuts make it so easy to die-cut all of the elements for the outside of your shaker cards. The difficult part is deciding what to put inside…ha!!
I began by die-cutting all of the components for my shaker card from bristol smooth, silver mirror and white woodgrain cardstocks, as well as an acetate sheet, using the Snow Globe A2 Shaker Die Set. I ink blended Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks onto the background die-cut. The tree, from the Farmhouse Tree Builder Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with two different green inks and the third layer was heat embossed with Midas Touch Embossing Powder. The gifts, bows and garlands are also from the Farmhouse Tree Builder Stamp Set. They were stamped onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Blackout Ink and colored with Copic markers. The tree, gifts. bows and garlands were all cut out with the Farmhouse Tree Builder Honey Cuts.
I decorated the tree with the bows and adhered it to the background die-cut, adding in the gifts under the tree. I splattered the background with diluted white gouache and added small dots with a Versamark pen. The same Midas Touch Embossing Powder that I used on the tree was added to the Versamark and melted.
Bokeh Lights Confetti Mix and Snowball Shaker Bits were added to the snow globe before assembling it with Bee Creative Precision Glue and foam tape. Vintage Photo and Antique Linen Distress Oxide Inks were blended onto the base with a blending brush. The sentiment, from the Pretty Poinsettias Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto red cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I adhered the garland to the base and added the sentiment with dimensional adhesive.
That’s it!! How about you…do you make more shaker cards during the holidays?
Thanks for hanging out with me today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you soon!!!
