Hello, friends!! Thank you so much for stopping by today!! I have a project to share for Trinity Stamps today!!
I absolutely LOVE finding ways to stretch my stash!! On today’s card, I used the Frame & Fold Slimline Card Die Set to create a thin frame on my card. Let’s get started!!
I had originally intended for this to be a one layer card, but that didn’t quite work out!! I stamped the floral bouquet from Love You Bunches onto Bristol Smooth cardstock with InkOn3 FadeOut Ink. I did some no-line watercoloring with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I was going to do my ink-blending right on this panel, so I adhered one of the A2 Foundations – Rectangle Stencils with Pixie Spray. Apparently, when I was watercoloring the image, I dripped a large drop of water onto the panel. The Distress Oxide Inks wouldn’t cover it, so I had to go to plan B.
I cut the floral with the Love You Bunches Coordinating Die. The A2 Foundations – Rectangle Stencil was adhered to another panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock with Pixie Spray. I applied Abandoned Coral, Worn Lipstick and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks with Blending Buddies. When I removed the stencil, I had the perfect rectangle blended background with a frame around the outside! I splattered the panel with water and picked up the excess with a paper towel.
I used the Frame & Fold Slimline Die Set to create a frame for some interest. The longer die that is intended to be folded was cut from Bristol cardstock. I cut the inside away with the stitched rectangle die, then trimmed it at the fold line. The sentiment, also from Love You Bunches, was white heat embossed onto the background panel. I adhered the frame and added the floral bouquet with foam adhesive. A white gel pen adds some detail to the centers of the flowers and a sprinkling of Grape Juice Confetti was the perfect finishing touch!!
I’m actually glad that I had that huge water droplet on my background! I think this turned out even better than my original idea!!
This card is perfect for this month’s new Trinity Monthly Challenge with Davina!!! This month’s theme is “floral”, so go check it out and play along!!
Thanks so much for spending a bit of time with me today!! Have a wonderful weekend!!!
