Happy Halloween!!! Welcome back to Honey Bee Tuesday!! I wanted to create a Halloween card for today’s post, but I don’t have any Halloween stamps. So, I snuck a pumpkin into this cute little scene!! That totally counts, right??
I got to play with some adorable puppies over the weekend and now I have puppy fever!! My goldens are 5 & 6, so I am missing that puppy breath like crazy…the house training, not so much!!
I started by creating a background for my scene by blending Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol paper, then splattering with water and picking up some of the color with a paper towel. Next, I stamped the largest puppy from Playful Pups onto white cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Ink and colored it with Copic markers. I have the Coordinating Die, but I didn’t want the white outline, so I cut her out by hand. I stamped the leaves from the Bushel And A Peck set several times with distress ink and fussy cut those as well. (Those Coordinating Dies are now on my wish list…that would have made this card so much easier!!) I colored those leaves with a combination of Distress Inks & water. The Layering Pumpkin Honey Cut Die was used to cut the pumpkin from orange & green cardstock. The edges were enhanced with distress ink before adhering all the pieces together. After figuring out placement, the sentiment from Pawsome Sentiments was stamped onto the background panel with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The pup, pumpkin & leaves were all adhered with foam adhesive. A few sequins from the Clear Bubbles Mix and some Black Nuvo Drops for the pup’s eyes were the finishing touches!!!
Thanks so much for hanging out with me for a while today!! I hope you have a wonderful Halloween & are in for more treats than tricks!!!!!
Oh my goodness !! How adorable is this little puppy !!?
