Hello friends and Merry Christmas Eve!! I know it’s a little late to get Christmas cards in the mail, but since it IS Christmas Eve, you know I HAD to post a Christmas project. You can always get a head start on next year…lol! I’m sharing this card over on the Crafty Meraki Blog today!!
I really wanted to color the poinsettia in the Christmas Miracle Stamp Set in soft peach colors. I stamped it twice onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Fadeout Ink, for a little no-line coloring. I colored one peach and one in shades of green, then fussy cut them out.
For the background, I sprinkled some green and blue Nuvo Shimmer Powders onto bristol smooth cardstock and sprayed it liberally with water. Once it was dry, I splattered the panel and the poinsettias with diluted gold ink and white gouache.
The sentiment, also from Christmas Miracle, was gold heat embossed onto the panel. This sentiment is perfect for special friends in your life!! I cut the green poinsettia into three pieces to make them into leaves and adhered them with liquid adhesive. I trimmed the one leaf that hung off the edge flush with the bristol panel, then adhered it to a top-folding white cardbase. The peach poinsettia was popped up with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added some gold Stickles to the center of the poinsettia for a little sparkle.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and all the best in 2021!!
