Good morning crafty friends!! It seems that everyone is ready for spring, no matter where we live!! I seriously can’t remember ever hearing so many people say that they are over the cold weather and ready for spring-like temperatures!! I thought maybe if I broke out the Spring Blossoms stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps, it might bring with it some real spring blossoms…LOL.
I am sharing an almost one-layer card. I can’t help it…I need dimension, so I popped the one-layer panel up onto another die-cut heart.
I normally start out by stamping the images for my project, but I wanted to see how much real estate I had left to stamp on, so I die-cut the second largest of the Stacking Hearts Honey Cuts from white cardstock first. I stamped the sentiment from the Friendship stamp set onto the heart with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink. The flowers and leaves from the Spring Blossoms stamp set were stamped around the outside of the heart with pale ink, using masking where necessary. After coloring the images with Copic markers and colored pencils, a yellow gel pen was used to add in the stamen. The largest of the Stacking Hearts Honey Cuts was cut from pink cardstock. The smaller of the two hearts was adhered to the larger one using fun foam cut from a smaller Stacking Heart die for dimension. The back panel of the card was made by die-cutting the second largest of the Stacking Hearts Honey Cuts from heavyweight white cardstock, scoring along the top of the heart and adhering above the score lines to the back of the pink heart.
That’s it for me today!! What about you? Are you ready for spring?
I hope this brightened your day a bit!!
Have a great week!!!
