Hey there!! It’s July 1 (what???) and that means there’s a new Fun Stampers Journey Stamp of the Month available!!
The Age of Aquarium stamp set is perfect for summer!! I combined the stamps with the Aquarium Box Die to create the cutest shaker card!! It is also the perfect size for a gift card!!
I couldn’t wait to work with this! I opened the package & headed directly to my craft room to get busy!!! Let’s get to it!!
How cute is this?!?!
I began by cutting the tank from light blue cardstock using the Aquarium Box Die. I scored and folded on all of the scored lines created with the die. The seaweed from the Age of Aquarium stamp set was stamped onto the back of the tank using Distress Oxide Inks. I also stamped the fish onto orange and yellow cardstock with Distress Oxide and fussy cut them. I cut the “sand” twice from kraft cardstock with the included die and adhered one piece to the front frame and one to the back. The sentiment was stamped onto the back of the tank with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.
A little shimmer was added to the fish with a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen and their eyes were drawn in with a black glaze pen, before popping them up onto the background with foam tape. The acetate was secured to the front panel and the box was adhered together with strong adhesive. For the shaker mix, I used a combination of Starry Night Sequins,Bokeh Lights and Clear Bubbles. A piece of patterned paper from the Shellebrate Paper Pad was adhered to an A2 size cardbase and the aquarium was attached to it. Lastly, the trim pieces were cut from black cardstock and adhered to the front of the tank.
It would be best to hand deliver this one or take precautions when mailing, but it turned out so cute!!
I can think of many other uses for the Aquarium Box Die!! It would make an adorable winter scene or a gift card holder for any occasion!!
