Hey, crafty friends!! I hope you’re all doing well!!
I have a couple of birthday cards to share with you today for Honey Bee Stamps!! They both feature a graphic, geometric design with rainbows!! You can’t go wrong there, am I right?!?
The first one uses the Mod A2 Cover Plate Honey Cut…
I began by ink blending the following Distress Oxide Inks onto an A2 sized panel of white cardstock: Villainous Potion, Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Festive Berries. I die-cut the Mod A2 Cover Plate from another panel of white cardstock and adhered it to the ink blended panel with Bee Creative Glue, once it was dry. It was then adhered to a white, top-folding card base.
For the greeting, I die-cut the top layer of “YOU” from holographic cardstock once and heavyweight white cardstock three times using the You Buzzword Honey Cuts. The bottom layer was die-cut from black cardstock. The layers were all stacked and adhered together with Bee Creative Glue, with the holographic layer on top. “Happy birthday to”, from the You Buzzword Stamp Set, was stamped with Bee Creative Clear Embossing Ink and white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then trimmed into a narrow strip. “YOU” was adhered to the front of the card with Bee Creative Glue and the sentiment strip was popped up with black foam strips. I die-cut a few stars from holographic cardstock with the smallest die in the Stacking Stars Die Set and popped them up with small pieces of foam tape, as well.
The second card utilizes the same design, but uses the Geometric Lines Background Stencil for the geometric element.
I adhered the Geometric Lines Background Stencil to a panel of white cardstock with Pixie Spray and blended on the same colors of Distress Oxide Ink that I used on the first card. I die-cut the panel with the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Honey Cut Set. The largest die in the same set was used to die-cut a panel of black cardstock to A2 size. The ink blended panel was adhered to the black panel with Bee Creative Glue, then to a white, top-folding card base.
The rest of the card was finished the same way as the first one.
That’s it!! Now I have two more cards to add to my birthday stash!! These are so versatile…they can be used for anyone!!
I just love black and white with rainbow colors….and the holographic paper adds the perfect amount of shine!! I can’t decide which one I like better!! How about you?
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you soon!!
