Hello, fellow card makers!! I hope this finds you all well!! It’s Spring here in the Midwest (at least some days…lol) and that leaves me longing for flower planting!! They say in our area it’s not safe to plant annuals until after Mother’s Day, so I have a few more weeks. At least I can have flowers in my craft room, no matter the weather!! I have a Spring inspired card to share with you today for Crafty Meraki!!
I started by adding some ink to a panel of white cardstock with the Green Garland Stencil and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink. I splattered the panel with diluted Kitsch Flamingo and Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide Inks. I wanted some texture, so I cleaned the stencil off, then ran it through my die-cutting machine with an embossing mat. I also ran an A2 panel of yellow cardstock through the same way to add some texture to the background panel. I trimmed the white panel and adhered it to the yellow one with liquid glue.
The leaves, stems and flowers were cut from white cardstock using the June Flora Dies. I added color to the with Kitsch Flamingo, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink. They were arranged and adhered to the background with liquid glue. I added a Citrine Opal Gem to the center of each flower.
Next, I die-cut the largest die in the Mini Slimline Timeless Frames Die Set from pink cardstock and adhered it across the front of the card with liquid glue, lining it up where the two background panels meet. I trimmed away the excess from each side. Lastly, the sentiment, from the Bold & Beautiful Stamp Set, was stamped directly onto the background with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!! I hope this brought some Spring vibes to your Thursday!! Have a great day!!
