Hello friends!! We are celebrating Honey Bee’s 3rd birthday all week!!! Be sure to check out the Birthday Sale section on the website today and tomorrow for special birthday savings!!
I have several relatives and friends of the family who are currently in the throes of finals in anticipation of the end of the school year. This “Hang In There” card was created to encourage them during this crazy, stressful time. This one was created with particular school colors in mind. It could also be used to bring a little cheer to anyone who is going through a difficult time.
I began by stamping the balloons and strings from Penny the Platypus onto white cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, coloring them with Copic markers, then cutting them out with the Coordinating Dies. One of the bunnies from Blah Humbunny was stamped and colored in the same way, before cutting with its Coordinating Die. The die-cut stings and balloons were adhered to a panel of gray cardstock that was cut slightly smaller than an A2 card base, trimming away the pieces that hung over the edges before adhering it to the card base. The sentiment; from Blah, Blah, Blah; was stamped onto a strip of red cardstock and adhered to the bottom of the gray panel. The die-cut bunny was adhered with foam adhesive for a little dimension. A white gel pen was used to add a highlight onto each the balloons. Finally, a few sequins from the Indian Summer Mix finish off the card.
Thanks for stopping by today!!!
I am off to re-create this in other school colors…
