Happy Birthday – Crafty Meraki

Hello, crafty friends and happy Wednesday!! I have a fall birthday card featuring the Luna and Natalia die sets from Crafty Meraki!!

I started by die-cutting the Luna and Natalia dies from pale yellow and black cardstock. I die-cut the two sunflowers twice and snipped the stems and leaves off of one of each of them, so I could layer them. Next, I added shading to the die-cuts with dye inks and blending brushes. Since I used a pale yellow cardstock, the ink colors work well.

For the background, I blended Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks onto an A2 panel of smooth white cardstock. The Crafty Plaid Die was die-cut from white cardstock, then adhered over the ink blended panel with liquid glue. The die-cuts were also adhered using liquid glue, adding adhesive only to the center of the butterfly to allow the wings to pop up.

The sentiment, from the Gilded Greetings EAP was die-cut with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam adhesive. I added dots to the centers of the flowers with a yellow gel pen. A sprinkling of Apricot Dew Drops was added with a Bling Buddy to finish off the card.

That does it for me today!! Thanks so much for spending part of your day with me!! I’ll see you soon!!
