Happy Birthday Foiled Card – Crafty Meraki

Hello, crafty friends!! I’m interrupting your Christmas cardmaking to share a shiny, foiled birthday card for Crafty Meraki today!! I needed a quick card for my brother-in-law’s birthday!! (I forgot to take process photos, but it’s pretty self explanatory.)

I began by foiling the Crafty Confetti Meraki Shimmer Plate onto super smooth velvet black cardstock using Spellbinders Mini Rainbow Stripe Foil and my Glimmer machine. I die-cut the panel with a 4″ x 5.25″ rectangle die and adhered it to a white A2 card base using liquid glue.

The large birthday die is from the Birthday Slimline Tag Die Set. It was die-cut from rainbow holographic cardstock once and heavyweight white cardstock three times. The layers were adhered together using liquid glue, with the white layers slightly offset to create a shadow. “Happy” was die-cut three times from white cardstock and once from smooth black cardstock. They were adhered together, also slightly offset. Both die-cuts were adhered to the background with liquid glue

I played around with adding some gems, but I like the clean look.

I think this makes a great masculine card. I love rainbow colors paired with black and white…add in the foil and it’s even better!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you soon!!
