Happy Birthday Slice of Cake – Scrappy Tails Crafts

Hello, fellow crafters!! I have an all die-cut A7 birthday card to share today for Scrappy Tails Crafts!! I fell head-over-heels for the Sliced Birthday Cake Die Set!!

I began by die-cutting all the pieces in the Sliced Birthday Cake Die Set from cream, pink, aqua, teal, green, yellow and matte silver cardstock. I added shading and details to the die-cuts with Copic markers, then adhered them together using liquid glue.

For the background, I die-cut the A7 Birthday Coverplate Die from white cardstock and adhered it to a 5″ x 7″ white card base. I splattered it with some of the same Copic marker colors that I used on the cake by flicking the tip of the marker on the edge of the marker cap. The cake die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment is from the Trifold Pull Down Cover Die. It was cut once from pink cardstock, once from aqua cardstock and two times from heavyweight white cardstock. I colored the pink and aqua die-cuts with Copics, using the darkest colors at the bottom and fading to the lightest at the top. I adhered one of the white layers behind each of the colored die-cuts, then adhered the aqua layer slightly offset behind the pink layer. They were adhered to the background with liquid glue. I used a white gel pen to add some details to the die-cuts and this card was finished.

That does it for me today!! Thanks so much for spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a wonderful Thursday!!
