Hey, friends!! I have a sweet, all die-cut Easter card to share with you today for Scrappy Tails Crafts!! The chicks in the Egg Carton Chicks Die Set are so adorable that I wanted to give one of them the attention that it deserves!!
I began by die-cutting the elements for the adorable chick from white cardstock using dies from the Egg Carton Chicks Die Set. I added color and shading to the die-cuts with alcohol markers, then adhered them together with liquid glue. I find it easier to add color to white cardstock die-cuts, instead of cutting them from colored cardstock. It’s also a great way to add shading and dimension.
The top layer of the arched sentiment was cut twice from white cardstock and the bottom layer once using the Easter Lamb Add-on Die Set. I once again added color to the die-cuts with alcohol markers. I snipped the floral parts from the top layer of the sentiment, then adhered it to the bottom layer. The background is from the Hoppy Easter Paper Pad. It was die-cut with a rectangle die and adhered to a white A2 card base. I also die-cut a scalloped rectangle from vellum and adhered the sentiment and the extra die-cuts with liquid glue. The chick was popped up with foam adhesive and the vellum panel was adhered to the background, adding liquid glue only behind the die-cuts.
I finished off the card by adding some tiny yellow pearls from the Spring Flower Breeze Embellishment Mix to the centers of the flowers.
That’s it for me today!! Have a great Tuesday!!
