Good morning & happy Tuesday everyone!! I have a Honey Bee project to share with you today! Do you decorate for Fall? I have a few pumpkins and a fall wreath that I put out, but that’s about it. Today’s card could be translated to home décor really easily. I thought about making a larger banner to drape from my fireplace mantle.
On to the card…
I began by using two different sizes of the Stacking Banners Honey Cuts to layer up for my fall banner. The larger size was cut from some aqua polka dot paper, while the smaller one was cut from some sticky back canvas. I cut the letters from the canvas using the Bee Bold Alphabet Honey Cuts and set the letters aside for another project. The canvas banners were popped up with foam adhesive onto the larger banners. I punched holes into the top corners of each banner and threaded some orange and white twine through the holes. I chose some gray houndstooth patterned paper for my background and matted it with some aqua cardstock. The card base measures 9″ x 4″. I stamped “Happy” and “Y’all” from the Happy Fall Y’all stamp set with Momento Expresso Truffle ink, then offset it slightly and stamped again with Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink. I draped the banner across the card and adhered it into place. Next, I die-cut the Layering Pumpkin Honey Cut from white cardstock and ink blended Spiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxides onto the pieces. Brown cardstock was used for the stem. After the pumpkin was layered together, it was adhered toward the bottom, right side of the card. I pulled some sequins from two mixes: Spring & Indian Summer to match my color scheme.
Well, now I think I’ll just prop this up on my mantle until I decide whether to make that banner. The aqua matches my living room perfectly!!
Thanks for stopping by today!! I’ll see you soon!!!
