Hey there, friends!! How’s your week going?
I have a sweet fall card to share with you today featuring the adorable Hedgehugs Stamp Set from Honey Bee Stamps!!
I started by stamping the adorable hedgehog couple from the Hedgehugs Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and cut them out with the Coordinating Honey Cuts.
For the background, I used the Scattered Leaves Stencil Set on a panel of white cardstock. I blended Wild Honey, Shabby Shutters and Fired Brick Distress Oxide Inks onto the bottom layer with blending brushes. For the top layer, I used Carved Pumpkin, Peeled Paint and Aged Mahogany. I absolutely LOVE this stencil set!! You can use them alone or together, but the magic happens when you layer one over the other. I die-cut the panel with the second largest rectangle in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set and adhered it to an A2 size burgundy cardstock panel that was die-cut with the largest rectangle die in that same die set. It was then adhered to a white top-folding card base.
Next, I die-cut one of the square frames included in the Sentiment Frames Honey Cuts from matte gold cardstock once and white cardstock three times. I stacked and adhered them together with Bee Creative Glue, then to the front of the card. The greeting, from the Sweater Weather Stamp Set, was gold heat embossed onto white cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The hedgehogs and sentiment were popped up inside the frame with foam adhesive. A touch of black glaze pen darkens and adds some shine to the hedgehogs’ eyes and noses, while a white gel pen adds a few details and highlights.
Aren’t’ those hedgies the cutest? And I just adore that stencil set!! I can’t wait to use it with different color combinations!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you soon!!
