Hello there!! Have you been hopping along for Trinity’s One Year Anniversary Blog Hop? This was such a fantastic release and my mind is just buzzing with ideas for all of the new stamp sets, dies and stencils!!
I love sea turtles, so when I saw the Turtley Awesome stamp set, my eye went straight to the little turtle!! Some of the new stencils would complement this set (and all of the other ocean themed sets) perfectly. But, I didn’t have them at the time that I made this card, so I created my background from an Underwater Class taught by Sandy Allnock.
To begin, I stamped three turtles from the Turtley Awesome stamp set with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and colored them with Zig watercolor markers. I fussy cut all three turtles and ran a black Tombow marker around the edges. I created the background by using Sandy’s tutorial with Copics. (This is an amazing class and well worth the money if you like doing underwater scenes.) The sentiment was stamped above the waterline with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. I popped the turtles up on my background panel with foam adhesive, added a few details to the turtles with a white gel pen and called it done!!
That’ll do it for me!! Have a “turtley” awesome day and weekend!!!
I’ll see you soon!!
