Good morning!!! Welcome to Day 2 of sneak peeks for the Honey Bee new release, Bee Bold!!!
I was so happy to see that Melissa released more floral stamps this time around!! This stunning buttercup stamp is one included in the new release. I combined the Chin Up Buttercup stamp & Honey Cuts with the With Sympathy stamp & Honey Cuts.
I began by stamping the flowers from Chin Up Buttercup in pale ink, as I intended to do some no-line coloring. After coloring them with Copic markers and adding some details with colored pencils, the Chin Up Buttercup Honey Cuts were used to cut out the images. The top layer of the With Sympathy Honey Cut was cut from white cardstock, while the outline layer was cut from pale yellow cardstock. The top layer was coated with three layers of silver embossing powder and then adhered to the outline layer. The remainder of the sentiment, from the With Sympathy stamp set, was heat embossed in silver onto pale yellow cardstock strips. I LOVE the sentiment “holding you in my heart”!!! How perfect is that? I also embossed the edges of the gray background panel in silver, using a Versamark pen to line the edges. After splattering some white paint onto the background panel, the die-cuts were adhered to the panel, popping up the flowers and sentiment with foam adhesive. A few Summer Sun Confetti pieces were a perfect match!!!
Be sure to head over to the Honey Bee Blog to see all of the amazing creations from the other design team members!! I’ll be back on Wednesday with another sneak peek!!!
There is also a huge blog hop this Friday & Saturday… you’re not going to want to miss it!!!
