Hello, crafters!! The Hello Bluebird May Release is now available!! I fell in love with the entire release!! I have a few more cards to share with you in the next few days!! Today’s card combines the Big Hugs Woodland Stamp Set & Coordinating Dies, Sending Hugs Words Die and the Nesting Deckle Mini Slimline Die Set (with a few butterflies from the Forest Fawns Stamps & Dies)!!

I started by stamping the images from the Big Hugs Woodland and Forest Fawns onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then cut them out with the Big Hugs Woodland and Forest Fawns coordinating dies.

Next, I die-cut one of the Nesting Deckle Mini Slimline Dies from Bristol smooth cardstock and created a watercolor wash with Distress Oxide Inks. I splattered on some diluted inks for interest. I also die-cut one of the Nested Mini Slimline Dies from turquoise cardstock.

The top layer of the Sending Hugs Words Die was cut from turquoise cardstock once and heavyweight white cardstock two times. The bottom layer was die-cut from heavyweight white cardstock twice. All of the layers were stacked and adhered together with liquid adhesive.

The slimline die-cuts we’re adhered to an A2 white top-folding cardbase and the excess was trimmed from the top. All of the die-cuts were arranged and adhered to the front of the card, the sending with liquid glue and all of the others with foam tape. A black glaze pen darkens and adds a little shine to the eyes and noses.

I really love how this turned out!!
