My card today features the new Singing In The Rain Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies…

I began by stamping the adorable images from Singing In The Rain onto white cardstock with Copic friendly ink. After coloring them with Copic markers, I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies.

For the background, I masked off the sky area and ink-blended Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of bristol smooth cardstock. Once that was dry, I masked the grass and inked Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink onto the sky using a die-cut I had left over from another card I created using the Partly Cloudy Die.

I really wanted it to look like the rainbow was coming from the adorable girl’s hand, so I ink-blended Distress Oxide Inks in rainbow colors onto a panel of bristol smooth cardstock in an arc shape, then trimmed it into the shape to fit. I adhered it to the background panel, spritzed the panel with water and picked up the excess with a paper towel. Once that was dry, I stamped the sentiment onto the rainbow with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

The girl, ducks and clouds were all popped up with foam adhesive. I added some highlights with a white gel pen and my card was finished!!
