Happy Labor Day!! It’s also Day 2 of Previews for the Hello Bluebird new release!! Did you enjoy the projects yesterday?
This fabulous release will be available on Wed., Sept. 8th at 7:00pm MDT!!! You don’t want to miss it!!
Today, I have a slimline card to share featuring the Tree Neighbors stamps & dies with this fun High Rise Tree Scene Die!!
I began by stamping the sweet images from the Tree Neighbors stamp set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored the images with the following colors:
- Bear – E29, E25, E15, E13, E11
- Fox – E99, YR27, E97, E95
- Bunny – C5, C3, C1, C0
- Raccoon – W7, W6, W5, W3, W1, W0
- Possum – C5, C3, C1, C0
- Woodpecker – W7, W5, W3, W1, R39, R29
- Squirrel – E47, E44, E43, E42
- Owl – E15, E13, E11, E13, E11, E02, E00
I cut the images out with the Coordinating Dies, then went to work on my background.
Next, I die-cut the High Rise Tree Scene Die from brown, white and green cardstocks. I added some shading to the tree and leaves with Copics. Then I layered the tree, leaves, grass and frame over a blue slimline size panel that I added some clouds to which were die cut from white cardstock using the Partly Cloudy Die. All of the adorable critters and word bubble were popped up with foam adhesive. A black glaze pen darkens the eyes and noses on the animals and a white gel pen adds in some highlights.
Isn’t that slimline die so much fun?!? And those little guys peeking out of the tree…I can’t even!!
