Hello, crafty friends and happy Wednesday!! I hope your year is off to a great start!! I have a simple “hello” card to share with you today for Crafty Meraki!! Cover plate dies are some of my favorite products to use for backgrounds…I just love the dimension that they create!!
I began by die-cutting the top two layers of the Luna Para-Dies Set from white cardstock and the bottom layer and body of the butterfly from black cardstock. I blended Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon, Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Inks onto the top layer with detail blending brushes, making sure to overlap the colors to create a rainbow. The layers were adhered together with liquid glue.
The background was die-cut from white cardstock using the Crafty Plaid A2 Cover Plate Background Die. It was adhered to an A2 white card base with liquid glue.
The sentiment is from the Gilded Greetings EAP. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die and the same Distress Oxide Inks that I used on the butterfly were blended onto it. It was popped up with foam tape and the butterfly was only adhered along the center, allowing the wings to pop up. A few Ebony Opal Gems were added to the wings to finish it off.
That does it for me today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day and I’ll see you soon!!
