Hello gorgeous!! I hope you’re having a great weekend!!
Even though I’m looking forward to fall crafting, it’s still summer here in the Midwest with temps in the 90s for the next couple of days!! I have a fun tropical card for Scrappy Tails Crafts to share with you today!!

I began by stamping the parrot, hibiscus and sentiment from the Tropical Bird Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copics, added details with colored pencils, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies.

I wanted my card to end up an A2 size, but wanted to add a border of tropical leaves around it. I die-cut the A7 Aloha Tropical Leaves Cover Plate Die from light green cardstock and saved the negative area from the center of the die-cut. I trimmed the die-cut to a bit smaller than A2 (the die-cut will be in several pieces) and adhered it to the same size panel of dark green cardstock, using the negative center area of the die-cut to place them.

The parrot was adhered to the front of the card with foam adhesive. The hibiscus and sentiment were popped up with even more foam tape, for lots of dimension. I added dots the the hibiscus stamen with a yellow gel pen and I was finished!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you soon!!
