Hello everyone!! I have another project to share with you today using a die sent to me by Spellbinders. I’ll admit, I wasn’t thrilled when Pantone announced the 2018 color of the year, but I have found a new love for purple. I just can’t stop using it!!
I started off by die-cutting the Die D-Lites Lavender Bunch Etched Dies a couple of times from Bristol cardstock and coloring with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers; then blending the colors with a water brush. I ink blended Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks onto another panel of Bristol cardstock, splattered it with water and picked up the excess. I also mixed some Perfect Pearls with water and flicked it over the entire background. The perfect pearls was also added to the lavender bunches, creating a ton of shimmer. Next, I used the largest die from Circle Spellbinders Nestabilities Large Standard Circle to cut a circle into the center of my ink-blended panel. The sentiment, from The Ton’s Peony Notes set, was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The circle die was adhered flat to my card base, while the outer portion of the panel was popped up with foam adhesive. The lavender bunches were layered together and also adhered with foam adhesive…some parts with two layers. Lastly, Clear Iris Sequins from Honey Bee add the finishing touch!!
Thanks for stopping by today & a big thanks to Spellbinders for sending me the incredible dies to work with!!!
