Hello, Honey Bee friends!! I’m have a summer card featuring the Lovely Layers: Beach Bound Die Set and the Palm Beach Cover Plate and Coordinating Stencils from Honey Bee Stamps to share with you today!! I absolutely love this die-cut van!!
I started by die-cutting all of the elements for the van from white, aqua, pink, dark gray, light gray, orange and frosted silver cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Beach Bound Die Set. I adhered all the pieces together using Bee Creative Glue.
For the background, I die-cut the Palm Beach Cover Plate from a panel of white cardstock. I used Distress Inks and blending brushes with the Palm Beach Stencil Set to add color. The inks that I used are Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, Twisted Citron, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Peacock Feathers. The panel was cut out with the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set. I die-cut another panel of white cardstock with the same die and tore a strip from the bottom to cover the ocean portion of the scene. It was blended with the same inks and splattered with diluted white ink. Alcohol markers were used to add shading and texture. The strip was adhered along the bottom of the panel and then adhered to a white A2 card base with Bee Creative Glue. The van was popped up in the center of the background with foam tape.
The sentiment, from the Sunkissed Summer Stamp Set, was stamped onto dark gray cardstock with Bee Creative Embossing Ink, white heat embossed and cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was adhered with a combination of Bee Creative Glue and foam tape. I used a fine point black marker to draw in the birds where they are debossed in the sky and added an Aurora Borealis Gem Sticker to each of the headlights and this card was finished.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you soon!!
