Hello, friends!! I don’t know about you, but this time of the year I want ALL THE FLOWERS!! Here in the Midwest, they say not to plant annuals before Mother’s Day so I try to stick to that! So I’ve been enjoying them in my cardmaking instead!! This bouquet in the Everything Wonderful stamp set from Honey Bee is so much fun to color!!
To begin, I stamped the stunning bouquet from Everything Wonderful onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Fadeout Ink. After coloring it with Copic markers and adding some detail with colored pencils, I cut it out with the Coordinating Honey Cut. I stamped the sentiment, from Sweet Sunflowers, onto white cardstock with pink ink that closely matched my berries and cut it out with its Coordinating Die.
For the background, I die-cut the Quilted A2 Cover Plate Honey Cut from white cardstock, then blended Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink through the dot stencil in the Quilted Hearts and Dot Stencil Set with a blending brush. The bouquet and the sentiment were both popped up onto the background with foam tape. I pulled a trio of matching sequins from the Blue Jean Baby Sequin Mix and tucked them around the bouquet for the finishing touch!!
How about you? When do you start planting your annuals? It’s so hard for me to wait, but I guess Mother’s Day will be here in less than two weeks!! Back to coloring more flowers…
Thanks so much for stopping in today!! I hope you have a great week and I’ll see you soon!!
Wow!!! Gorgeous coloring!! Stunning card!!!
