Happy Tuesday, crafty friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!! I have a very special card for my dad to share today for Honey Bee Stamps!! He was recently hospitalized for 17 days with three different infections and just went home last week. He is getting a little better every day and keeps talking about going fishing again…one of his favorite activities to do with my hubby, so this one’s for him!!
I began by die-cutting the bodies of the lures from white cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Lures Honey Cuts and the eyelets, hooks and eyes from black glossy cardstock. I colored the lures with Copic markers and added some detail with a fine tip black marker. They were all layered and adhered together with Bee Creative Glue.
The background was die-cut from light blue cardstock with the Waves Pierced A2 Cover Plate Die, then the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangle Honey Cuts. I blended a bit of Stomy Sky Distress Oxide around the outside of the panel with a blending brush, then adhered it to an A2 white card base with Bee Creative Glue. The lures were adhered to the background, also using Bee Creative Glue.
The sentiment, from the Hooked On You Stamp Set, was stamped onto light blue cardstock with Intense Black Ink, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was popped on the front of the card with foam tape. Lots of Crystal Glimmer Enamel Stickers look like bubbles and add the perfect amount of shine.
Thank you all so much for spending part of your Tuesday with me!! Have a great day and I’ll see you next week!!
