I hope those of you in the US are enjoying a long holiday weekend and happy Saturday to all!! WOW!! Does the Hero Arts July 2025 Die Set of the Month: Mix Tape bring back some memories!! Am I dating myself?!? LOL!! I love it!! I still remember purchasing my first cassette tapes to play in the cassette player of my “new-to-me” car that I bought when I was 16!! (Sammy Hagar & Van Halen, in case you were wondering!) Enough reminiscing, let’s get to my card!!

I started by die-cutting the July Die Set of the Month: Mix Tape from Fog, Teal Topaz, Mulberry, frosted silver, white and black brushed metallic cardstock from the Onyx Assorted Treasured Cardstock Pack. All of the die-cuts were layered and adhered together with liquid glue.

For the background, I die-cut the thin strips that go across the middle of the cassette tape (the Mulberry strip on the cassette) from Teal Topaz, Mulberry and Raven cardstock. They were adhered along both edges of an A2 card base with liquid glue, alternating the colors. I used an older embossing folder to emboss the background on an A2 panel of white cardstock, trimmed each side, then adhered it the the card base.

Now all I had to do is adhere the cassette tapes and sentiment die-cuts to the front of the card with liquid glue. I LOVE the subtle sparkle of the black brushed metallic cardstock!!
