Hello, friends and happy Saturday!! I hope you have some fun plans this weekend!!
I haven’t made a shaker card in quite a while, but as soon as I saw the Snow Globe Builder Dies and the adorable fawn in the Merry Little Christmas Stamp Set from the Hello Bluebird Holiday Release, I knew they were a match made in heaven!!
I began by stamping the images from the Merry Little Christmas Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly ink. After coloring them with Copic markers, I added highlights with a white gel pen and a dot of black glaze pen on the eye, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies.
Next, I built the snow globe using the Snow Globe Builder Dies. The background was cut from pale blue cardstock. I blended Broken China Distress Oxide Ink onto it with a blending brush and splattered it with diluted white gouache. The outline layer was cut from heavyweight white cardstock six times and the solid layer from acetate. All of the layers of white cardstock were stacked and adhered together, layering the acetate under the top die-cut. The snow was die-cut from white glitter cardstock. I added some clear confetti to the shaker and adhered it all together.
For the background, I die-cut several snowflakes from white glitter cardstock with the Big Snowflake Die. They were adhered to a panel of pale blue cardstock that was trimmed slightly smaller than A2. I trimmed the excess snowflakes from the edges and adhered the panel to a white top-folding card base, then adhered the shaker to the center. The sentiment, also from the Merry Little Christmas Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto red cardstock and cut out with a die from the Snow Globe Builder Die Set. It was adhered to the snow globe, along with the berry sprigs and holly. I added some sparkle to the berries with a glitter pen and some shine with crystal glaze. The final step was adhering a trio of snowflake sequins to the front of the snow globe.
I really love how this came together and hope you do, as well!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
So beautiful and sweet!
