Hi Crafty Friends!!

The Honey Bee Stamps Cheerful Love Release is now available in the store. To celebrate the new release, we are having a two day blog hop called Cheerful Love. So please hop along with us both days to be inspired!

Be sure to visit each blog & leave a comment to be entered to win!!! We will be giving away two $50 gift cards to the Honey Bee Stamps store, one from each day. The winners will be posted on our blog Tuesday, February 27th.

You should have arrived here from Emily Kohout’s blog. If you get lost along the way, there is a complete line-up over on the Honey Bee Blog.

Isn’t this release adorable? So many great images & sentiments!! Both cards I have to share with you today are Congratulations cards…but each one is for a totally different occasion. The first being a graduation card.

I began by stamping the sentiment from Congrats Graduate in the center of a panel of Bristol cardstock with Versamark Ink, then heat embossing with white embossing powder. Next, I blended Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink onto the panel. I splattered it with water and blotted up the excess with a paper towel. Then I mixed some Perfect Pearls with a little water and splattered that also. I trimmed the panel down slightly and adhered it to a top folding note card. I stamped several of the graduation caps from Penny the Platypus onto Neenah cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut them out. After figuring out the placement of the caps, I popped them all up with foam adhesive onto the black panel. Carousel Lights Confetti Mix was the perfect finishing touch!! I LOVE this confetti mix…the Bokeh Lights Confetti Mix is one of my favorites, so I love having the colored option!!!

My next card is a way to stretch your stamps…

I turned Penny the Platypus into Daphne the Duck for this cute shaker card…perfect for a new baby or baby shower!! I stamped the platypus, balloons and heart images from Penny the Platypus with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them all with Copic markers. Then I fussy cut all the images, cutting off the tail…gasp!! An alcohol inked panel made the perfect background. I cut a frame from white cardstock with the A2 Double Stitched Frames Honey Cut Dies. The Celebration Sequin Mix creates the shaker element. Next, I cut the Congratulations sentiment with the Hooray Day Honey Cut Dies from white & black cardstock. I colored the white sentiment with Copics to match my balloons, and placed the black portion on top. All of the elements were applied to the front of the card, some popped up with dimensional adhesive. A black Sharpie was used to draw the strings from the balloons onto the transparency. Lastly, Ebony Black Crystal Nuvo Drops add some shine & dimension to the eyes.

Thanks so much for hopping with us today!! You’re next stop is the oh-so-talented Melissa Bickford!!

Be sure to leave lots of love along the way for chances to win some great prizes!!!
