I just adore the Lovely Layers Series!! Every time Melissa comes out with a new one, it’s always my favorite!! The Lovely Layers: Hydrangea is no exception!!
I began by die-cutting all of the layers of the Lovely Layers: Hydrangea Die Set from white cardstock. I cut extra layers so I could add LOTS of dimension and blended them with Distress Oxide Inks. I ink blended Kitsch Flamingo with a little Picked Raspberry around the edges of each die-cut with blending brushes. For the centers, I blended Shabby Shutters with a little Twisted Citron. The detail blending brush came in super handy for this! For the leaves, I added a combination of Shabby Shutters and Lucky Clover.
I decided to make this a 5″ x 7″ card so I could add more blooms. The Plaid A7 Layering Coverplate Dies were cut from white cardstock and layered over a 5″ x 7″ cardbase. The flowers and leaves were adhered to the cardbase with liquid glue adding adhesive to the centers of the blooms only.
The Bitty Buzzword Stamp Set and Bitty Buzzwords Honey Cuts were the perfect size for my sentiment. I die-cut “hugs” from pink and white cardstock and layered them together. “Sending You” was stamped onto white cardstock with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink and die-cut with a banner from the Sentiment Banners Die Set. The die-cut and sentiment strip were both popped up with foam adhesive. A few gems stickers from the Playful Pastel Gem Stickers pack add some bling, and Firefly Stickles add a little sparkle to the center of the flowers.
Look at all of that dimension!! I can’t wait to make these in other colors!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Be sure to hop over to Instagram to join in the fun!!
Have a great weekend!!!
I love your color combination! Really pretty!
